![]() ![]() I have booted into BIOS and when in BOS the CPU temperature reports around low 30 degree mark. I have listened to the CPU fan and it does not seem to run hard. I am monitoring the CPU temperature via OpnSense widget and observe CPU temperature range running around the high 70 degree range to mid 80 degree range and that seems high to me especially given the CPU usage reports typically around 0.10 whilst the OpnSense firewall is running. It is running in a pink Silverstone SG13 case with 400W Silverstone ATX PSU and 16GB RAM plus 1TB Seagate 700RPM HDD with add-in 4 port RTL8111 NIC in the single PCIe slot, total of 5 network ports including onboard NIC. To my issue: I have built a small firewall based around ASUS A320I-K ITX motherboard, AMD Ryzen 5 1600AF combination. I am also a pfSense "migrant" finding the layout of the OpnSense firewall simply more intuitive despite the very close relationship between the two species of firewall.
